Baptisms at the Lake • Sunday, July 27th we are having Baptisms at the Lake right after church at the White Oak Shelter at Jordan Lake. We’ll kick things off with a picnic at 12:30 PM, and then gather to celebrate baptisms at 2 PM. For lunch, Point will provide sandwiches and chips; bring a side for you and your family! Invite a friend, pray about being baptized, and register here if you’re ready for this step in your faith!

Family Ministry Info

Kid Point

Our Kid Point ministry is for children Birth-5th grade. Kid Point uses age-appropriate teaching styles to point your kids to Jesus. If you have any questions about this ministry, contact our Kid Point Director, Tess Schmidt, at tess@pointchurch.com
Upper Kids Crew • We have a group designed specifically for 3rd-5th graders on Sunday evenings! This group is designed to nurture young hearts and minds. In UKC kids will:
• Build Biblical Literacy
• Develop Spiritual Habits & Disciplines
• Engage in discipleship among peers
• Learn & Recite the books of the Bibles
• Memorize key scripture passages & monthly verses
• Compete in weekly challenges, games, and FUN!

Student Point

Our Student Point ministry is for students in 6th-12th grades. Our Middle and High School Life Groups meet separately every Sunday evening at 4:30pm-6:30pm at Point Church where we play games and learn about Jesus! Volunteer Opportunities

The best way to get connected at any church is to find a team to serve alongside. One of the things that followers of Jesus do is serve sacrificially. Help is needed in every ministry, but here are some specific ways that you can serve!
  • Kid Point Team: Check In, Nursery, Toddlers, Early Elementary, and Upper Kids. Contact our Kid Point Director, Tess Schmidt or Kyle Schmidt, our Upper Kid Coordinator for more information or with any questions.
  • Tech Team: Lyric slides (ProPresenter) operator, Lights operator, and Video operator, and videographer. No experience needed. If you're interested, contact our Worship Minister David O'Neal
  • Worship Team: Electric Guitar players needed. Please contact David O'Neal 
  • Guest Services Team: Greeters, Ushers and Cafe. If you're interested, contact Jeremy Hyde
  • Social Media Team: Content Creator, Copy Writer, and more. Contact our Communications Director, Cheryl Miller to learn more

Carolina Care Center

Here at Point Church, we partner with the Carolina Care Center in three key ways: the counseling ministry, where members of Point Church can get counseling at a discounted rate; the care pantry, which we host on Saturday mornings from 10:30am-12:00pm; and the care fund, where all cash given each Sunday is put to help those in financial crisis.
